AT WHCO, WE MERGE ARCHITECTURE AND INTERIORS WITH THE STORYTELLING INSTINCTS OF FILM DESIGN.

PROCESS

We believe story is more important than style. Drawing on a background in film production design, we approach architecture like a filmmaker, focusing on the unique narrative of each project rather than following trends. Our process is deeply visual: we begin with hand sketches and reference imagery to capture the spirit, which we then evolve into full 3D virtual walkthroughs. This immersive approach allows you to experience the space and see the design come to life long before construction begins.

WILLIAM HUNTER

A graduate of Georgia Tech’s College of Architecture, William began his career in commercial and residential design before moving to Los Angeles and transitioning into film. He spent over 20 years in the industry as a set designer, art director, and production designer, where a deep understanding of narrative began to shape his approach to architecture as a reflection of how people live, move, and connect within a space.

He maintained an active design practice throughout his time in the film industry, returning to residential architecture full-time in 2019 to found William Hunter Collective. Now based in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia, he leads projects locally and across the country, guided by a core belief in connection—fostered through collaboration, community, and the creation of spaces that reflect, above all, the people within them.
